It Takes a Village (Michelle Calarco)

From The Desk Of…Michelle Calarco, The Village Publicist

What exactly is “wellness?” The term means different things for all of us. Eating healthy…exercising….meditating… maybe even partaking in a Dry January (or a damp one – after all, we are still trying to navigate a pandemic here!). As a healthy living enthusiast, I try to incorporate wellness into my everyday life but that’s not always an easy thing to do.

When I talk about this with leaders in the space, there’s one consistent takeaway: find something that sticks and build everything else around it. There are ways to live well everywhere you look, but you have to uncover what works for you.

For us at The Village, wellness can mean many things: strolling along our marina to get fresh air and soak up the sun, taking some time in our rooftop garden for contemplative thought, enjoying one of our lighter, locally sourced dishes from The Wheel restaurant or sipping a non-alcoholic cocktail from our Dry January menu.

There are many more healthy moments to discover as we put the final touches on our brand new fitness center and get ready to unveil a calendar of unique wellness programming. In case you need fresh inspo to find something that sticks for you, click below for a compilation of tips from some faces you may recognize.

Wishing you all a sticky 2022, Michelle
