Stamford community welcomes 133,000-square-foot grand, work-play space

Stamford residents are getting a first look at one of the most anticipated rebuilds in city’s history.The 133,000-square-foot space called The Village is now home to dozens of businesses, including office spaces, high-end restaurants and breweries. Local business leaders visited the building for a networking event inside on Wednesday.A Stamford developer says the space is designed to bring the Stamford community together in a unique way and encourage more businesses to frequent the area.Gov. Ned Lamont, who recently announced companies like Tomo and Philip Morris are coming to Connecticut, says he supports The Village’s goal.The space is officially opened to the public.
